The Jenny and Bill Philip Student Support Fund
New Fund Will Help Students Soar Even Higher
With their forthcoming departure from campus at the end of the current academic year, Bill and Jenny Philip will leave a considerable legacy of service to Westminster as teachers, leaders, coaches, mentors, friends, and parents of Westminster graduates. This legacy will be further enriched by a new fund established in their honor: the Jenny and Bill Philip Student Support Fund. The fund, which was first announced in January, was established with a $5 million gift from a small group of alumni, parents and trustees.
By supplementing need-based financial aid at Westminster, the fund will help students and their families with expenses that financial aid packages don’t typically cover. These expenses could include travel to extracurricular events, additional academic or counseling support, school supplies, athletic equipment, family travel to campus for graduation and other events, and even funds so students can get pizza with their friends on the weekend.
